Rapid Teaching Methods. Maximum 4 per Class. Premier Quality.

4 Children per Class

We guarantee your child will never have a class size of more than 4 swimmers (inclusive of your child).

Rapid Teaching System

Exclusive to Typhoon: we have streamlined teaching swimming and created a truly unique method and approach to teach swimming FAST. You won't find our methods or system anywhere else.

FREE Trials

We offer free, no obligation trials for you to come along and experience our lessons/methods. We won't ever give you a hard sell.

Teachers in the water

Our teachers instruct from in the water and will often lead by example: demonstrating the technique accurately so that children can copy. You wouldn't try to teach someone to drive from the pavement, so why would you try to teach someone to swim from dry-land?!

Consistent Teachers

We don't run in terms, we run on a rolling month. Because of our rapid methods our classes improve together as a unit, so we completely avoid the mad rebooking rush and disappointment. Your teacher will therefore be the same teacher week in, week out (except for illness or holiday!)

We only take payment monthly via Direct Debit, so there's no large upfront cost for a 'term' of lessons. We also don't tie you in for minimum periods, all we ask for is 1 month's notice whenever you want to leave.

All of our staff are hand picked, have prior experience, are vetted and DBS checked at least every 3 years and of course hold a valid swim teaching qualification. We also ensure all members of our teaching staff also have a lifesaving qualification. We also put each new member of staff through our own in-house training program to teach them our methods - which they can only then use with Typhoon.

Year round

Our lessons continue throughout the entire year - we don't stop for bank, public or school holidays. Our only break is over Christmas. This way, your child can have access to lessons virtually all year.

We run our own in-house award scheme, our children improve so quickly we have had to ditch the "National Plan For Teaching Swimming" (NPTS). If we followed the NPTS we'd be giving our children a badge every month, which we feel would devalue what it means to both earn and then achieve something. Our award scheme is specifically tailored to push our children to excel. If at any point you would like to know how your child compares nationally (i.e. what their NPTS level would be) your instructor will be happy to tell you.
