Staunton-on-Wye Primary School Crash Course

Last week we ran a crash course at Lucton School for Staunton-on-Wye Primary, and the results are finally in. 101 swimmers swam every day for 30 minutes, Monday to Friday, and the statistics are impressive!

The Results

Every year from Staunton-on-Wye Primary took part in the crash course, from Reception to Year 6. We’re very proud of the achievements made by every child who attended, and our results reflect that the rapid teaching methods we use do get fast results. Overall Results

Before the course, only 12.5% (2 children) of year 6 children (Primary School Leavers) were swimming at the national minimum requirement of 25 metres unaided. By the end of the course, 87.5% (14 children) of year 6 are now at the required standard.

Typhoon is willing to offer the remaining 2 children 5 x complimentary 2-2-1 lessons in order to boost them to the required standard so that 100% of children leaving Staunton Primary are swimming to the national curriculum requirement level.
